Acoustic and visual Micro-conference on the fluid dynamics followed by an electro DJ Set
For World Music Day, Bétonsalon invites you to discover a scientific experience combining physics and music. On a live musical set bring to us by a duo of DJs, the “Soap Opera”, scientific experience initiated by Florence Elias, physician specialized on the complex fluid mechanics and teacher at Paris Diderot University, will be performed for the first time on an Electro-Techno rhythm.
At the request of Bétonsalon, the physician wil reveal a fascinating and hypnotic dynamic of a soap film set in motion by the vibration of sound waves.
Soap Film Opera : The dance of soap films
‘’Blow continuously on a soap film: a bubble swells, detaches, flies away and is covering itself with iridescence in the sunlight. But if the breath oscillates, as if produced by a sound wave, the soap film begins to vibrate like the membrane of a drum.’’
GUESTS
Florence Elias physician specialized on the complex fluid mechanics and teacher at Paris Diderot University and Robin Lambert et Dylan Rousseau duo of young parisian DJs.

The Speedating: fast and unconventional meetings open to everyone.
Inside and around the current exhibition of Jean-Charles de Quillacq: Ma système reproductive, nearby stakeholder of Bétonsalon are invited to talk about a book, a childhood smell, a short story, another artist… why not fancying yourself of being a art critic for an hour or two?
Badge-holding participants will be “activatables” by the visitors for 7 minutes of discussion before switching. The activation will allow a conversation where the topic will have a close or distant link with the exhibition. No need to be an expert on contemporary art, our guests are not all insiders. The Speedating is mainly the opportunity for people – with different fields of researches or interests – to share and talk for a little while.
GUESTS CONTRIBUTORS
Tiphaine Landier (student at Paris Diderot University in Letters and Writing professions), Soar (InalCER student at Inalco with a major in International Relations), Guillaume Meigneux (art teacher from National School of Architecture Paris Val-de-Seine), and Lorena Garcia Cely (Contemporary Art Researcher at School of Esthetics, Sciences and Technologies of Arts)
