Workshop Content
Explanation of the techniques and tools used: sound-image relationship, percussions linked to sensors, video, awareness of listening, musical games and the gesture-music-image relationship.
The workshop tends to develop a refinement of listening and to demonstrate how the performer’s physical and spiritual intentions influence the musical and visual subject matter. In this exploration of synesthesia, a first moment is devoted to listening to each sound used in the installation, defining their colors and their location in space.
A musical game is set up in order to highlight the possible interactions between the drums and the image.
A playful time closes the workshop. Divided into small groups, the participants play with Uriel Barthélémi and experience what can be a form of lively visual listening.
