University Paris Diderot - Paris 7
The history of the University Paris 7 began in 1970, under the partition of the University of Paris following the events of 1968. Conducted by fore font scientists, it sought to break down the knowledge and conduct a significant part of its research and teaching at the interface of disciplines, which led it a little later, to pay tribute to the ambition of encyclopedists putting themselves under the patronage of Denis Diderot.
It includes 3 major domains training:
– Science
– Letters, Languages, Humanities and Social Sciences
– Medicine, Dentistry
27 000 students make up this university.
The new site of Paris 7 University, situated in the heart of the Massena ZAC, is not a closed campus but instead a campus inserted in the city and open to the City and the World.
The new University of Paris Diderot-Paris 7 intends to participate fully in the renewal of research and higher education at the French and European levels. It intends to contribute to the coherence of the supply of research and training in the Ile de France BY developing new partnerships and building with them new centers of excellence.
